Costumes & Colors (3/3) – Super Smash Bros. Melee History
Shows where I believe the character’s costumes and colors come from in addition to how some of the character designs have changed from game to game. Video 3 of 3. I recommend watching it in higher quality if you can. I also decided, on a whim, to translate some of the text in the Japanese Fire Emblems. Having taken some Japanese classes, I know how some of the grammatical structure works and also had to look up most of the words in a dictionary. In other words, I am not an expert, so don’t take my translations verbatim. I started translating the dialogue (and other things) in Monshō no Nazo but I was having trouble with a few words and finding a couple kanji in my friend’s Nintendo DS Kanji Dictionary. Realizing I was spending too much time on it, I decided not to do it and focus on finishing the video instead. However, I still translated other single words in the next two games though. (EG “おの” – Axe) Again, I’m sorry for the audio sounding like crap. I was having problems with my usual video editor, so I had to slap the video clips together in Windows Movie Maker, and it seemed to destroy the higher-end frequencies in the audio, even with the best video setting.
Dude you spent the whole damn video on Roy!
@jmsmash1118 Yes they did in Gold and silver. Since the pokemon shinyness was based on IV’s instead of a % chance. Noob.
@neoman289151 The Japanese name is Satoshi, and in the English dub the name was changed to Ash.
you do know if u look closely the hat shiny pikachu wears, is not ash’s hat its red’s hat from pokemon yellow and g/s and also pikachu had a different sprite in pokemon gold version
@kirbyfan1005
It’s Red’s original hat period. He wore it up until FRLG, when he got a new design.
lol i kno i said that well its actually quite obvious as u notice that the hat pikachu is wearing is missing the “C” on Ash’s hat
@neoman289151
This was 4kids who dubbed the anime first. 4kids americanized everything until recently.
Plus it would be odd to have a protagonist named “Satoshi” when everyone else went by their localized game names.
@kirbyfan1005
The hats look different too. Ash’s is round on the white part, and Red’s is square. Also Red has a badge on his.
@jmsmash1118 Once again, he said they had better stats in the SECOND generation, which is EXTREMELY OLD.
@kirbypower521 Yes there was a FE anime but sadly, they ING CANCELLED it after 2 ing episodes!
4:38 Game And Watch dances to the song called “Earthbound” in…. well I dunno flourside or something or florside haven’t played it in a long time.
umm……….
I LOVE ROY D:<<<<<<<<<<<
umm Mars Lowell? WTF?
6:25 what? Marth said his name is mars lowell??
Wow. Even in japan, the professors were tree puns.
@jrmommy In that particular episode, and in the game, Marth disguises himself as Mars to get past the guards and such.
@PrincessBella110 Roy actually was replaced by Ike. Pit is not a Fire Emblem character is he?
@jmsmash1118 if you could read it says that in generation 2 shiny pokemon had slightly better stats this was changed in generations after the 2nd generation
!!!! ASH UES POKEMON CIGARETTES!!
!!!! ASH UES POKEMON CIGARETTES!! AND ROY IS EVILLLLLLLL!!! T.T ROY!
How is it even possible to get a shiny Mewtwo?
Is you’re videos broken. The guy’s name is Ash, the professors name is Oak and he lives in Pallet town. You’re getting it all wrong.
1:12 i think pikachu won that match
you must be one of the few pepole outside japan to call satoshi instead of ash
Is there a “Shiny” Jugglypuff and Pichu?
