Does the Disney World in Florida Have the Meetable Costume Characters That Can Talk and Blink Yet?
I saw this video of a talking Mickey Mouse from Disneyland in California: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d6k2xdtU8Wc
I was just wondering if the Disney World in Florida also had this kind of thing, I think it’s so neat and since I live on the east coast, it’d be much easier to go here than across the country to Cali!
Thank you!
Nope – not yet! This is something that Disney is testing. I LOVE IT! BTW – it’s not actually mainstream at Disneyland yet either.
A talking Mickey? This is even cooler than Crush!
Anyway – Disney ‘pilots’ many ideas in one park or the other, but it may be a long time before we actually see it in the parks.
Way to bring on the magic!

This isn’t actually out at any of the parks yet, but it is really cool technology. The video is from a test group in Disneyland that was chosen to take part in a forum study. Afterward, they answered what they liked/disliked about the new Mickey. Disney calls this kind of study "playtesting", and they use it whenever they are trying out something new. They like to find out what the average guest thinks before they launch it in the parks.
Sometimes they decide to never bring it to the parks, like the robot Wall-E that was playtested many years ago. Sometimes they do bring it to the parks. But as of now, this new talking & blinking character isn’t active in any of the parks, anywhere. No date has been released on when or if they will ever exist in the parks. =-)
