How to Make a Halloween Mask From Liquid Latex?

I want to make my own Halloween mask and I was wondering if I can just pick up a some liquid latex from a Halloween store and mold it to a blank mask. Do I need anything else?
(Oh and I only want a mask that just covers my face)

Yes, you can do this. It is not that easy, but can be done. You just need to follow a good plan.

First, you would want to make a mold of your face. This is the messy part. You need to take an impression of your face, and then make a plaster mold. You will then make the mask on this piece of plaster. That is important.

Then you build your mark on this plaster "face", in whatever method you want. You can build, cut, add to it, paint it until it is what you want. Once complete, you can peel it off the mold, and it will fit your face perfectly. Because it is latex, it is soft and will move with your face. You can create some very realistic (or other worldly) masks this way, and will be incredible. Have fun.

I suggest you practice a few times before Hallowe’en to be sure you have it right. This requires some practice.
