Inexpensive, Easy, and Quick Disney Costumes for a Couple?
My boyfriend and I were invited to a Halloween party this weekend that is Disney themed and we want to match (i.e. Mickey and Minnie, Aladdin and Jasmine) There isn’t enough time to order costumes, not to mention the fact that we’re both broke =). So what are some ideas for a couple’s costume that would be inexpensive and easy to make? Thanks!!!

mickey and minnie mouse. umm. you can be mary poppins and that other guy… you can be hercules and that girl, pocohantas and john smith, tarzan and jane, mulan and shang.
OR you can be troy and gabriella from high school musical!
If you’re looking for something quick to throw together based on what you have in your closet, try:
- Aladdin and Jasmine: try a sports bra or re-design an old tank top by trimming it underneath the ribs portion and add some fancy loose pants. All your boyfriend needs is loose pants and an open vest.
- Peter & Wendy: if you have on-hand a simple blue dress and your boyfriend has a green outfit and brown boots.
- Tarzan and Jane: if your boyfriend isn’t shy about wearing only a loincloth.
- Shrek and Fiona: this will only work if you have green face paint and if you’re willing to spend a little on some ogre ears/antennas.
Try going through the list of Disney movies (from my source) to scratch of the hard ones and choose from the easier ones.
You could both buy some dog ears and be Lady & The Tramp.
You could dress up in some sort of formal attire and he could wear a really sloppy outfit…better yet, if you could wear a really sloppy outfit…like sweats with holes in them, socks in sandals, messy hair, and he wears a tux or something nice…that would be a really funny play on Beauty & The Beast.
