Silent Hill NURSE Walk Test (HQ)
PLEASE READ: Okay guys, don’t get upset with me lol. I’m doing a quick cosplay of a Nurse from Silent Hill: Homecoming. I know that the skirt is MUCH more shorter in the game, unfortunately, I don’t have anything that short. This is a closet cosplay, meaning that I dug in through my closet to see if I could pull of a character. The dress is actually like, a sleeping gown, and a button up shirt under it. And guys, that’s not really a mask. Well, I made it look like one. Actually, it’s just a one of those mummy glove-sleeves from a halloween costume I bought a year or two ago. It’s being held to my face with scotch tape and the parts I couldn’t cover with the wraps that were attached to it I used toilet paper. -shrugs- (Yes…my face was pretty irritated afterwards but it wasn’t nearly as stuffy as that gold mask I wore earlier in the vid, fortunately.) I’m wearing 3 inch heels at the end. My feet still kinda hurt. One of the things have mentioned before, is that I’m a perfectionist – or better yet obsessive compulsive – when it comes to cosplay. So besides going about to make the actual costume, for every character, I work on the walk and how they react to the environment. Kind of like a method actor. I stay completely in character while in costume, and the only time I don’t, is almost always when I’m in the privacy of my room. (It’s really tiring, but I like to do things that way, and I think it makes people happy….I know I’m a weirdo.) I’ve been researching the nurses …
haha imma be one of them for halloween. l researched nurses and it’s almost as if something is pulling them up from the waist up, and something pulling them down from the waist down, if you know what i mean. ;p Good luck and good job
Nice. I’m doing a SH nurse cosplay for the second year running at a family run Halloween haunted house. You have great timing in the first run. My suggestion is to do more with your arms, possibly try turning your spine at awkward angles. Your shoulders are good though. ^^
Oh, and props for using a real knife while in high heels. Living dangerous!
You very much want to be hunched over as buh buh had said. n _n More pigeon toed as well. Knees bent a tad more. (one leg should always be lagged behind) Twisting of your head a bit works as well (helps with body movement of hunching over too) n _n Hope this helps a bit. <3
Also! it’s cool if you need to cut the skirt for it to be short! The SH dresses on the nurses shouldn’t be clean cut anyways. n _n

@buhbuhbreebree i have to agree with this. your spasms are pretty good, but the movements in the upper body should be much more exaggerate. you’re already 80% of the way there!

I loved your walk! I’ve ben trying to cosplay a Silent Hill nurse for years but I could never get the walk down pack. I know the moves but my body just won’t follow.
You did really good. There are two things that you can do to improve the walk so it looks like the moive ones!
1) Expose you neck more and try to tilt it to one side or another while walking.
2)Drag one of your feet more. It addes onto that creepy effect.

The walk is the hardest part of this costume…the rest is just cloth and paint.
