What Would Be a Good Halloween Costume for a Circus Themed Party?

I’ve been invited to a circus themed Halloween party and I need inexpensive ideas for a costume. I already thought about being a clown, but I’ve been told that there will already be a lot of scary clowns at the party. Does anyone know of any ideas that would cost me less that twenty bucks?

    yeah! i love halloween parties

a spooky-gypsy-fortune-teller. just get old gypsy head scarf, a fake moustache and loads of gold jewlery, like one of those theme-park fortune-telling machines.

an insane ring-master. lots of fake silk and velvet, with a really scary laugh will work.
old clothes from second hand shops.

Cotton Candy or peanuts. Think food and it should be easy to afford.

You could be a juggler (balls, sticks or flaming torches), or an acrobat (bring a trapeze) wear just a fancy leotard thingy would do. Something like a harlequin would be cool. How about a mime? just a black outfit with white gloves.
A strongman, with leopardprint mankini and inflatable dumbells.
Or … go as the tent!!!
